Crocodile bagged - croatiantimes.com

21 April 2011

At nearly 20 feet long and one-ton in weight, you would not want to make any

snap decisions opening the crate containing Godzilla - the world's biggest crocodile in captivity. The giant reptile - being transported from Spain to a new home in Jesolo, Italy - arrived with two female alligators who were his companions at his old park. "He is huge and very fast. You don't take chances with an animal like this especially when he's hungry. He could swallow you whole down to the waist and not even notice it," one keeper said. The male Nile crocodile eats more than 100 lbs of raw meat and fish at mealtimes and is to be the star attraction at the Park Tropicarium's "Killer Beasts" exhibition.
